1. Mould readying.

2. The heating up and fusion process.
Once within the oven, the mold is rotated on two axis so the powdered polymer liquefies from the heat and layers the inside if the mould. The rotation is done gradually, about 20 rotations per min. The main thing that is crucial at this moment is the amount of time the mould will spend inside the oven. If it overstays, the material will lose value and durability, creating a weak product. If it is taken out from the oven too early, the polymer will not have flowed properly, which develops bubbles in the finished product line.

3. Mould cooling.
When the component has sufficiently spent the right amount of time in the oven, it is then taken out for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which generates a cool mist. When the material cools, it reduces a little for ease of extraction from the mould. This is another step that relies a lot on the right timing, since quick cooling decreases the material too quickly, causing warping of the item.

4. The discharging or de-moulding step.
When the component inside te mould has cooled successfully, the molder handling the process can then remove the finalized item from the mold. The technique is repeated from the beginning, supplying a number of similar items.
