The Rotomoulding Procedure Components

1. Mold preparation.
A predetermined amount of polymer in grain form is loaded into a hollow mold. The mould is usually made of cast aluminium or sheet steel component. 2. The heat and fusion process.
Once placed into the oven, the mold is turned on two axis so the powdered polymer liquefies from the heat and coats the inside if the mould. The turning is done slowly, about 20 revolutions per minute. The main thing that is vital at this point is the period of time the mould will spend inside the oven. If it stays to long, the product will lose stability and strength, creating a faulty product. If it is extracted from the oven too early, the polymer will not have liquefied correctly, which develops bubbles in the completed product line.

3. Mould cooling.
When the product has sufficiently spent the right amount of time in the oven, it is then taken out for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which a cool mist. When the material cools, it shrinks slightly for ease of extraction from the mould. This is an additional step that depends upon a lot on the ideal timing, since quick cooling decreases the material too quick, causing warping of the item.

4. The un-loading or de-moulding step.
When the material inside te mold has cooled correctly, the person handling the procedure can then take out the finalized product from the mould. The technique is repeated from the beginning, supplying a number of exact product lines.
