1. Mould preparation.
A fixed quantity of polymer in particle form is packed into a hollow mould. The mold is usually made from cast aluminium or sheet steel substance. The most typically used powder resin is polythene, but polyvinyl chloride and nylon can also be used in this format of plastic assembly.

Preheating of the oven starts, and it can be done by either conduction, convection or sometimes radiation. It is heated to temperatures between 500-700F. The mould with the powdered polymer is then secured and positioned inside the oven.

2. The heat and fusion procedure.
Once inside the oven, the mold is spun on two axis so the powdered polymer liquefies from the heat and coats the inside if the mould. The spinning is done slowly and gradually, about 20 rotations per sixty seconds. Something that is essential at this moment is the period of time the mold will spend within the oven. If it stays to long, the component will lose stability and durability, making a poor product. If it is extracted from the oven too early, the polymer will not have liquefied correctly, which creates bubbles in the finished item.

3. Mold cooling.
When the material has completely spent the correct amount of time in the oven, it is then taken out for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which creates a cool mist. When the component cools, it shrinks somewhat for ease of removal from the mold. This is another procedure that depends upon a lot on the ideal timing, since quick cooling shrinks the material too rapidly, causing bending of the material.

4. The unloading or de-moulding phase.
As soon as the component inside te mold has cooled effectively, the molder taking care of the process can then take out the completed product from the mould. The technique is repeated from the beginning, making a series of exact products.
