1. Mold fitting.

2. The heating and fusion process.
Once inside the oven, the mold is rotated on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and coats the inside if the mold. The turning is done gradually, about 20 spins per sixty seconds. Something that is crucial at this point is the period of time the mold will spend inside the oven. If it stays to long, the material will lose value and strength, producing a poor product. If it is removed from the oven too early, the polymer will not have melted properly, which generates bubbles in the finished product line.

3. Mold cooling.
When the product has completely spent the correct amount of time in the oven, it is then removed for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which creates a cool mist. When the product cools, it shrinks a little for ease of removal from the mould. This is one more measure that depends a lot on the right timing, since quick cooling shrinks the material too quick, causing warping of the product.

4. The discharging or de-molding step.
Once the component within te mold has cooled successfully, the person managing the procedure can then extract the finished item from the mold. The technique is repeated from the beginning, giving a number of similar items.
