1. Mold prep work.
A fixed measure of polymer in particle form is packed into a hollow mould. The mould is usually comprised of cast aluminium or sheet steel material. Preheating of the oven follows, and it can be done by either conduction, convection or sometimes radiation. It is heated up to temperatures between 500-700F. The mold with the powdered polymer is then sealed and inserted inside the oven.

2. The heating and fusion procedure.
Once within the oven, the mould is revolved on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and layers the inside if the mold. The rotation is done gradually, about 20 spins per min. The main thing that is vital at this point is the period of time the mold will spend within the oven. If it overstays, the product will lose stability and durability, creating a faulty item. If it is removed from the oven too early, the polymer will not have flowed properly, which produces bubbles in the finished item.

3. Mold cooling down.
When the component has completely spent the enough of time in the oven, it is then taken out for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which generates a cool mist. When the material cools, it shrinks somewhat for ease of extraction from the mould. This is another step that depends a lot on the right timing, since quick cooling decreases the material too rapidly, causing warping of the material.

4. The un-loading or de-moulding phase.
When the product inside te mold has cooled adequately, the person handling the process can then take out the finalized product from the mold. The process is repeated from the start, supplying a number of exact product lines.
