1. Mould preparation.
A fixed volume of polymer in particle form is packed into a hollow mould. The mould is usually constructed from cast aluminium or sheet steel substance. The most generally used powder resin is polythene, but polyvinyl chloride and nylon can also be used in this style of plastic production.

Preheating of the oven starts, and it can be done by either conduction, convection or sometimes radiation. It is heated to temperatures between 500-700F. The mould with the powdered polymer is then secured and positioned into the oven.

2. The heating and fusion phase.
Once inside the oven, the mould is rotated on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and coats the inside if the mould. The spinning is done gradually, about 20 rotations per min. The main thing that is critical at this point is the amount of time the mould will spend inside the oven. If it stays to long, the component will lose value and strength, creating a weak product. If it is taken out from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have liquefied correctly, which creates bubbles in the finalized product line.

3. Mold cooling down.
When the product has completely spent the enough of time in the oven, it is then extracted for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which creates a cool mist. When the component cools, it reduces slightly for ease of removal from the mould. This is one more step that relies a lot on the right timing, since rapid cooling decreases the material too rapidly, causing warping of the product.

4. The discharging or de-molding phase.
When the component inside te mould has cooled effectively, the person handling the operation can then remove the completed product from the mold. The procedure is repeated from the start, providing a number of similar items.
