The Rotomolding Method Components

2. The heating up and fusion step.
Once inside the oven, the mould is spun on two axis so the powdered polymer liquefies from the heat and layers the inside if the mould. The spinning is done slowly, about 20 revolutions per sixty seconds. One thing that is crucial at this moment is the period of time the mould will spend inside the oven. If it stays to long, the component will lose value and durability, creating a poor product. If it is taken out from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have melted properly, which develops bubbles in the finished product line.

3. Mould cooling down.
When the product has completely spent the correct amount of time in the oven, it is then extracted for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which creates a cool mist. When the product cools, it reduces slightly for ease of removal from the mould. This is one more procedure that depends upon a lot on the correct timing, since rapid cooling decreases the material too quick, causing warping of the material.

4. The un-loading or de-molding step.
As soon as the product within te mould has cooled adequately, the person handling the operation can then remove the finalized item from the mold. The function is repeated from the start, providing a series of exact products.
