1. Mould preparation.
A predetermined quantity of polymer in grain form is filled into a hollow mould. The mold is usually comprised of cast aluminium or sheet steel substance. The most typically used powder resin is polythene, but polyvinyl chloride and nylon can also be used in this style of plastic manufacturing.

Pre-heating of the oven starts, and it may be done by either conduction, convection or sometimes radiation. It is heated up to temperatures between 500-700F. The mold with the powdered polymer is then secured and placed within the oven.

2. The heating up and fusion process.
Once within the oven, the mould is rotated on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and coats the inside if the mould. The turning is done gradually, about 20 rotations per sixty seconds. Something that is essential at this point is the period of time the mould will spend within the oven. If it overstays, the component will lose stability and durability, making a faulty item. If it is removed from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have melted correctly, which generates bubbles in the finished product line.

3. Mould cooling down.
When the component has sufficiently spent the right amount of time in the oven, it is then taken out for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which a cool mist. When the product cools, it reduces slightly for ease of extraction from the mould. This is yet another measure that relies a lot on the ideal timing, since quick cooling reduces the material too quick, causing bending of the material.

4. The un-loading or de-moulding step.
When the material within te mold has cooled properly, the molder handling the operation can then extract the finished product from the mould. The technique is repeated from the start, supplying a number of exact items.
