1. Mold fitting.
A fixed volume of polymer in grain form is packed into a hollow mold. The mold is usually constructed from cast aluminium or sheet steel substance. The color chosen for the end item is pre compounded into the polymer. The most commonly used powder resin is polythene, but polyvinyl chloride and nylon can also be used in this design of plastic production.

Preheating of the oven starts, and it may be done by either conduction, convection or sometimes radiation. It is heated to temperatures between 500-700F. The mould with the powdered polymer is then sealed and put inside the oven.

2. The heating up and fusion phase.
Once within the oven, the mould is rotated on two axis so the powdered polymer liquefies from the heat and overlays the inside if the mold. The turning is done gradually, about 20 revolutions per min. The main thing that is vital at this point is the period of time the mould will spend inside the oven. If it overstays, the product will lose stability and durability, generating a weak item. If it is extracted from the oven too early, the polymer will not have liquefied correctly, which produces bubbles in the finished product line.

3. Mold cooling down.
When the component has sufficiently spent the enough of time in the oven, it is then extracted for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which creates a cool mist. When the component cools, it shrinks slightly for ease of extraction from the mould. This is another step that relies a lot on the correct timing, since quick cooling reduces the material too quickly, causing warping of the material.

4. The offloading or de-moulding step.
When the material within te mold has cooled correctly, the person handling the process can then extract the finished item from the mould. The procedure is repeated from the start, giving a series of exact items.
