1. Mold prep work.

2. The heat and fusion process.

The main thing that is essential at this moment is the amount of time the mould will spend within the oven. If it stays to long, the product will lose stability and strength, generating a faulty item. If it is taken out from the oven too early, the polymer will not have melted correctly, which generates bubbles in the completed product line.

3. Mould cooling.
When the component has sufficiently spent the right amount of time in the oven, it is then extracted for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which a cool mist. When the product cools, it shrinks somewhat for ease of removal from the mold. This is yet another procedure that relies a lot on the right timing, since rapid cooling shrinks the material too fast, causing warping of the item.

4. The unloading or de-molding step.
As soon as the product within te mold has cooled adequately, the person handling the operation can then take out the finished item from the mold. The technique is repeated from the start, providing a series of identical products.
