The Rotomolding Procedure Components

1. Mould readying.

2. The heating and fusion process.
Once within the oven, the mold is revolved on two axis so the powdered polymer liquefies from the heat and coats the inside if the mold. The spinning is done slowly and gradually, about 20 spins per sixty seconds. One thing that is critical at this moment is the period of time the mould will spend within the oven. If it stays to long, the material will lose value and strength, creating a poor product. If it is extracted from the oven too early, the polymer will not have liquefied properly, which produces bubbles in the completed product.

3. Mould cooling.
When the component has completely spent the correct amount of time in the oven, it is then extracted for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which a cool mist. When the material cools, it shrinks slightly for ease of extraction from the mold. This is an additional procedure that depends a lot on the right timing, since quick cooling shrinks the material too quick, causing warping of the product.

4. The removing or de-molding phase.
As soon as the material inside te mold has cooled correctly, the person taking care of the procedure can then remove the completed product from the mold. The procedure is repeated from the start, supplying a number of similar products.
