The Rotomolding Procedure Components

1. Mold preparation.

2. The heat and fusion process.

The main thing that is important at this moment is the amount of time the mould will spend within the oven. If it stays to long, the component will lose value and strength, producing a poor product. If it is taken out from the oven too early, the polymer will not have melted correctly, which creates bubbles in the finalized item.

3. Mould cooling.
When the material has sufficiently spent the correct amount of time in the oven, it is then removed for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which generates a cool mist. When the material cools, it shrinks somewhat for ease of extraction from the mold. This is another procedure that depends a lot on the right timing, since rapid cooling decreases the material too rapidly, causing bending of the product.

4. The unloading or de-molding phase.
As soon as the component inside te mould has cooled effectively, the person taking care of the procedure can then take out the completed product from the mould. The process is repeated from the start, supplying a series of similar product lines.
