1. Mold fitting.
A predetermined measure of polymer in powder form is loaded into a hollow mould. The mould is usually made from cast aluminium or sheet steel component. 2. The heating up and fusion phase.
Once inside the oven, the mold is spun on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and coats the inside if the mould. The spinning is done slowly and gradually, about 20 revolutions per minute. Something that is important at this moment is the period of time the mold will spend inside the oven. If it stays to long, the product will lose value and durability, making a poor product. If it is removed from the oven too early, the polymer will not have flowed properly, which produces bubbles in the finalized product line.

3. Mould cooling.
When the product has sufficiently spent the correct amount of time in the oven, it is then taken out for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which creates a cool mist. When the component cools, it reduces somewhat for ease of extraction from the mould. This is an additional measure that depends a lot on the ideal timing, since quick cooling shrinks the material too rapidly, causing warping of the product.

4. The removing or de-molding step.
When the component inside te mold has cooled correctly, the person taking care of the operation can then remove the completed item from the mould. The process is repeated from the start, providing a number of identical items.
