1. Mould prep work.

Preheating of the oven starts, and it may be done by either conduction, convection or sometimes radiation. It is heated up to temperatures between 500-700F. The mold with the powdered polymer is then secured and installed into the oven.

2. The heating and fusion procedure.
Once inside the oven, the mould is turned on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and layers the inside if the mold. The spinning is done slowly and gradually, about 20 revolutions per minute. One thing that is important at this moment is the period of time the mold will spend inside the oven. If it overstays, the material will lose value and strength, generating a poor product. If it is extracted from the oven too early, the polymer will not have melted correctly, which creates bubbles in the finalized item.

3. Mould cooling down.
When the component has completely spent the right amount of time in the oven, it is then removed for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which generates a cool mist. When the component cools, it reduces a little for ease of removal from the mould. This is an additional measure that depends upon a lot on the ideal timing, since rapid cooling shrinks the material too quick, causing warping of the item.

4. The unloading or de-moulding step.
As soon as the product inside te mould has cooled correctly, the molder handling the procedure can then remove the finalized item from the mould. The process is repeated from the start, giving a number of exact items.
