1. Mold preparation.
A fixed measure of polymer in particle form is packed into a hollow mold. The mould is usually comprised of cast aluminium or sheet steel material. 2. The heating up and fusion phase.
Once inside the oven, the mold is spun on two axis so the powdered polymer liquefies from the heat and overlays the inside if the mold. The spinning is done slowly, about 20 revolutions per sixty seconds. Something that is important at this moment is the period of time the mould will spend within the oven. If it stays to long, the component will lose value and durability, generating a poor product. If it is taken out from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have liquefied properly, which creates bubbles in the finalized item.

3. Mould cooling down.
When the material has sufficiently spent the enough of time in the oven, it is then removed for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which generates a cool mist. When the product cools, it reduces slightly for ease of removal from the mold. This is yet another procedure that relies a lot on the right timing, since quick cooling decreases the material too quick, causing warping of the product.

4. The unloading or de-molding step.
When the product inside te mold has cooled effectively, the person handling the operation can then remove the completed product from the mold. The function is repeated from the beginning, making a number of exact items.
