1. Mould prep work.

2. The heating and fusion step.
Once inside the oven, the mold is spun on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and coats the inside if the mould. The spinning is done slowly, about 20 rotations per minute. The main thing that is crucial at this moment is the period of time the mold will spend inside the oven. If it stays to long, the product will lose stability and durability, making a poor product. If it is extracted from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have liquefied correctly, which generates bubbles in the finished item.

3. Mold cooling.
When the component has sufficiently spent the correct amount of time in the oven, it is then taken out for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which generates a cool mist. When the material cools, it shrinks somewhat for ease of extraction from the mold. This is one more measure that depends upon a lot on the ideal timing, since quick cooling reduces the material too quick, causing bending of the item.

4. The offloading or de-moulding step.
As soon as the product within te mould has cooled correctly, the molder managing the process can then remove the finished product from the mould. The technique is repeated from the start, supplying a series of exact product lines.
