1. Mould preparation.

2. The heating up and fusion process.
Once within the oven, the mould is spun on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and overlays the inside if the mold. The turning is done slowly, about 20 rotations per minute. One thing that is crucial at this moment is the amount of time the mold will spend within the oven. If it overstays, the material will lose value and durability, generating a weak product. If it is removed from the oven too early, the polymer will not have liquefied correctly, which develops bubbles in the completed product line.

3. Mold cooling down.
When the material has sufficiently spent the enough of time in the oven, it is then extracted for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which generates a cool mist. When the material cools, it reduces slightly for ease of removal from the mould. This is yet another step that relies a lot on the right timing, since rapid cooling reduces the material too rapidly, causing warping of the material.

4. The discharging or de-moulding phase.
When the material within te mould has cooled correctly, the person handling the procedure can then remove the completed item from the mould. The procedure is repeated from the beginning, making a series of identical items.
