1. Mold fitting.
A predetermined amount of polymer in powder form is loaded into a hollow mould. The mold is usually made of cast aluminium or sheet steel substance. The coloring preferred for the finished item is pre compounded into the polymer. The most often used powder resin is polythene, but polyvinyl chloride and nylon can also be used in this design of plastic manufacturing.

Preheating of the oven starts, and it can be done by either conduction, convection or sometimes radiation. It is warmed to temperatures between 500-700F. The mold with the powdered polymer is then secured and placed into the oven.

2. The heat and fusion process.
Once within the oven, the mould is rotated on two axis so the powdered polymer liquefies from the heat and overlays the inside if the mold. The turning is done gradually, about 20 spins per min. One thing that is crucial at this moment is the period of time the mold will spend within the oven. If it overstays, the component will lose stability and durability, making a poor product. If it is extracted from the oven too early, the polymer will not have melted properly, which produces bubbles in the finalized item.

3. Mold cooling.
When the component has sufficiently spent the enough of time in the oven, it is then removed for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which a cool mist. When the material cools, it shrinks slightly for ease of extraction from the mold. This is another measure that relies a lot on the ideal timing, since quick cooling reduces the material too quick, causing warping of the product.

4. The offloading or de-moulding phase.
When the component inside te mold has cooled successfully, the molder taking care of the operation can then remove the completed product from the mould. The technique is repeated from the start, making a series of identical items.
