1. Mould readying.

Preheating of the oven follows, and it may be done by either conduction, convection or sometimes radiation. It is heated to temperatures between 500-700F. The mould with the powdered polymer is then secured and inserted inside the oven.

2. The heating and fusion phase.
Once placed into the oven, the mould is turned on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and coats the inside if the mold. The spinning is done slowly and gradually, about 20 spins per sixty seconds. The main thing that is crucial at this moment is the amount of time the mould will spend within the oven. If it stays to long, the material will lose value and strength, producing a weak product. If it is extracted from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have flowed correctly, which generates bubbles in the finished product line.

3. Mold cooling down.
When the component has completely spent the correct amount of time in the oven, it is then removed for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which creates a cool mist. When the product cools, it shrinks slightly for ease of extraction from the mold. This is another step that depends a lot on the ideal timing, since quick cooling reduces the material too quick, causing bending of the item.

4. The unloading or de-moulding step.
When the component within te mould has cooled successfully, the person managing the process can then extract the finalized item from the mould. The procedure is repeated from the start, providing a number of exact products.
