The Rotomoulding Method Components

1. Mold readying.

2. The heat and fusion procedure.
Once inside the oven, the mould is spun on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and overlays the inside if the mold. The spinning is done slowly, about 20 spins per min. One thing that is essential at this point is the amount of time the mould will spend within the oven. If it stays to long, the material will lose value and durability, making a faulty item. If it is extracted from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have flowed correctly, which generates bubbles in the finalized product line.

3. Mould cooling.
When the product has sufficiently spent the correct amount of time in the oven, it is then removed for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which a cool mist. When the product cools, it shrinks slightly for ease of extraction from the mold. This is one more procedure that relies a lot on the right timing, since quick cooling shrinks the material too rapidly, causing bending of the product.

4. The discharging or de-molding phase.
Once the material within te mould has cooled effectively, the molder managing the procedure can then take out the finished product from the mould. The procedure is repeated from the start, supplying a number of identical items.
