1. Mold fitting.

2. The heat and fusion phase.
Once inside the oven, the mold is turned on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and layers the inside if the mold. The spinning is done gradually, about 20 revolutions per min. The main thing that is vital at this point is the amount of time the mould will spend within the oven. If it overstays, the component will lose stability and durability, generating a weak item. If it is removed from the oven too early, the polymer will not have flowed properly, which develops bubbles in the finished product.

3. Mold cooling.
When the material has completely spent the correct amount of time in the oven, it is then taken out for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which creates a cool mist. When the material cools, it reduces a little for ease of removal from the mould. This is another procedure that depends upon a lot on the ideal timing, since rapid cooling reduces the material too quick, causing warping of the material.

4. The un-loading or de-molding phase.
As soon as the component within te mold has cooled adequately, the person managing the operation can then remove the finished item from the mould. The function is repeated from the start, giving a series of similar items.
