1. Mould readying.

2. The heating and fusion step.
Once placed into the oven, the mold is spun on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and overlays the inside if the mould. The rotation is done slowly, about 20 spins per min. The main thing that is essential at this moment is the period of time the mould will spend inside the oven. If it overstays, the component will lose value and durability, producing a weak product. If it is removed from the oven too early, the polymer will not have liquefied correctly, which generates bubbles in the completed item.

3. Mould cooling down.
When the component has sufficiently spent the correct amount of time in the oven, it is then taken out for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which creates a cool mist. When the material cools, it shrinks somewhat for ease of extraction from the mold. This is an additional procedure that depends a lot on the correct timing, since rapid cooling shrinks the material too fast, causing warping of the product.

4. The offloading or de-moulding step.
When the product within te mould has cooled correctly, the molder handling the process can then remove the finished item from the mold. The process is repeated from the start, supplying a series of similar product lines.
