1. Mould preparation.

Something that is crucial at this moment is the amount of time the mould will spend inside the oven. If it overstays, the product will lose stability and durability, producing a weak item. If it is taken out from the oven too early, the polymer will not have flowed correctly, which produces bubbles in the finalized item.

3. Mold cooling down.
When the product has sufficiently spent the enough of time in the oven, it is then taken out for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which creates a cool mist. When the product cools, it reduces slightly for ease of extraction from the mold. This is another step that relies a lot on the correct timing, since quick cooling shrinks the material too rapidly, causing bending of the item.

4. The offloading or de-molding phase.
As soon as the component inside te mould has cooled correctly, the person taking care of the procedure can then extract the completed product from the mold. The technique is repeated from the start, providing a series of identical products.
