1. Mold preparation.
A fixed quantity of polymer in particle form is filled into a hollow mould. The mould is usually constructed from cast aluminium or sheet steel material. The colour intended for the end goods is pre compounded into the polymer. The most generally used powder resin is polythene, but polyvinyl chloride and nylon can also be used in this design of plastic manufacturing.

Pre-heating of the oven follows, and it may be done by either conduction, convection or sometimes radiation. It is heated to temperatures between 500-700F. The mold with the powdered polymer is then secured and inserted into the oven.

2. The heat and fusion process.
Once placed into the oven, the mold is spun on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and overlays the inside if the mould. The spinning is done slowly, about 20 rotations per minute. The main thing that is crucial at this moment is the period of time the mold will spend within the oven. If it overstays, the component will lose value and durability, creating a faulty item. If it is extracted from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have flowed properly, which develops bubbles in the completed item.

3. Mold cooling down.
When the component has completely spent the correct amount of time in the oven, it is then removed for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which generates a cool mist. When the product cools, it reduces a little for ease of removal from the mold. This is yet another procedure that depends a lot on the right timing, since quick cooling decreases the material too quickly, causing bending of the item.

4. The removing or de-molding phase.
When the component inside te mould has cooled correctly, the molder managing the procedure can then remove the finalized product from the mold. The procedure is repeated from the beginning, making a series of similar products.
