1. Mold prep work.
A predetermined measure of polymer in powder form is packed into a hollow mould. The mold is usually made from cast aluminium or sheet steel substance. The most generally used powder resin is polythene, but polyvinyl chloride and nylon can also be used in this design of plastic manufacturing.

Pre-heating of the oven follows, and it may be done by either conduction, convection or sometimes radiation. It is warmed to temperatures between 500-700F. The mould with the powdered polymer is then locked and placed inside the oven.

2. The heating and fusion phase.
Once within the oven, the mould is rotated on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and overlays the inside if the mold. The turning is done slowly, about 20 spins per minute. One thing that is important at this moment is the amount of time the mold will spend within the oven. If it overstays, the material will lose value and durability, generating a faulty item. If it is extracted from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have liquefied correctly, which creates bubbles in the completed product line.

3. Mold cooling down.
When the material has sufficiently spent the enough of time in the oven, it is then extracted for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which generates a cool mist. When the product cools, it shrinks slightly for ease of removal from the mold. This is yet another step that depends upon a lot on the right timing, since quick cooling reduces the material too rapidly, causing warping of the material.

4. The un-loading or de-molding phase.
As soon as the product inside te mould has cooled adequately, the molder managing the process can then take out the finished item from the mold. The process is repeated from the beginning, supplying a series of identical items.
