1. Mould prep work.
A fixed quantity of polymer in grain form is loaded into a hollow mould. The mold is usually comprised of cast aluminium or sheet steel substance. The color tone chosen for the finished item is pre compounded into the polymer. The most often used powder resin is polythene, but polyvinyl chloride and nylon can also be used in this design of plastic manufacturing.

Pre-heating of the oven follows, and it may be done by either conduction, convection or sometimes radiation. It is heated up to temperatures between 500-700F. The mould with the powdered polymer is then secured and placed into the oven.

2. The heat and fusion phase.
Once within the oven, the mould is spun on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and layers the inside if the mould. The spinning is done slowly, about 20 revolutions per minute. The main thing that is crucial at this point is the amount of time the mold will spend within the oven. If it overstays, the component will lose value and durability, producing a faulty product. If it is extracted from the oven too early, the polymer will not have melted properly, which creates bubbles in the completed product line.

3. Mould cooling down.
When the product has completely spent the correct amount of time in the oven, it is then extracted for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which generates a cool mist. When the product cools, it reduces slightly for ease of removal from the mould. This is yet another measure that relies a lot on the ideal timing, since rapid cooling reduces the material too quick, causing warping of the product.

4. The un-loading or de-moulding step.
As soon as the component within te mould has cooled adequately, the person taking care of the process can then remove the finalized product from the mould. The process is repeated from the start, giving a series of identical items.
