1. Mould readying.
A fixed measure of polymer in powder form is loaded into a hollow mold. The mold is usually comprised of cast aluminium or sheet steel component. 2. The heating and fusion procedure.
Once inside the oven, the mold is rotated on two axis so the powdered polymer melts from the heat and overlays the inside if the mold. The turning is done slowly, about 20 revolutions per min. Something that is important at this point is the amount of time the mould will spend inside the oven. If it overstays, the material will lose value and durability, creating a poor item. If it is extracted from the oven too early, the polymer will not have flowed correctly, which generates bubbles in the completed product line.

3. Mould cooling.
When the material has sufficiently spent the enough of time in the oven, it is then extracted for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which creates a cool mist. When the material cools, it shrinks a little for ease of extraction from the mould. This is one more measure that relies a lot on the correct timing, since quick cooling reduces the material too rapidly, causing warping of the material.

4. The offloading or de-moulding phase.
Once the component within te mould has cooled adequately, the molder taking care of the procedure can then extract the finished product from the mould. The process is repeated from the start, making a number of identical items.
