1. Mold readying.

Pre-heating of the oven starts, and it can be done by either conduction, convection or sometimes radiation. It is heated to temperatures between 500-700F. The mould with the powdered polymer is then sealed and installed into the oven.

2. The heating up and fusion procedure.
Once inside the oven, the mould is turned on two axis so the powdered polymer liquefies from the heat and overlays the inside if the mould. The rotation is done slowly and gradually, about 20 rotations per sixty seconds. One thing that is critical at this point is the period of time the mould will spend inside the oven. If it stays to long, the product will lose stability and durability, creating a faulty item. If it is removed from the oven too early, the polymer will not have flowed correctly, which produces bubbles in the finalized item.

3. Mold cooling.
When the product has sufficiently spent the enough of time in the oven, it is then taken out for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which generates a cool mist. When the material cools, it reduces somewhat for ease of removal from the mold. This is yet another procedure that depends upon a lot on the right timing, since quick cooling shrinks the material too rapidly, causing bending of the product.

4. The discharging or de-molding phase.
As soon as the material within te mold has cooled correctly, the person taking care of the process can then extract the finalized product from the mold. The function is repeated from the start, giving a number of exact items.
