1. Mould prep work.
A fixed measure of polymer in particle form is loaded into a hollow mould. The mold is usually built from cast aluminium or sheet steel material. 2. The heating and fusion step.
Once within the oven, the mould is revolved on two axis so the powdered polymer liquefies from the heat and layers the inside if the mold. The spinning is done gradually, about 20 spins per minute. Something that is crucial at this point is the period of time the mold will spend inside the oven. If it stays to long, the product will lose stability and strength, generating a faulty product. If it is taken out from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have liquefied properly, which develops bubbles in the finished item.

3. Mould cooling.
When the product has completely spent the right amount of time in the oven, it is then taken out for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which a cool mist. When the component cools, it reduces slightly for ease of removal from the mould. This is another step that depends a lot on the right timing, since quick cooling decreases the material too quick, causing bending of the product.

4. The unloading or de-molding step.
As soon as the product inside te mould has cooled effectively, the molder taking care of the procedure can then remove the finalized item from the mold. The technique is repeated from the start, making a series of exact items.
