1. Mold preparation.
A predetermined measure of polymer in particle form is filled into a hollow mold. The mold is usually comprised of cast aluminium or sheet steel substance. 2. The heating up and fusion phase.

Something that is essential at this point is the period of time the mould will spend inside the oven. If it overstays, the product will lose value and strength, producing a poor product. If it is removed from the oven prematurely, the polymer will not have melted correctly, which generates bubbles in the finalized product.

3. Mould cooling.
When the component has sufficiently spent the enough of time in the oven, it is then removed for cooling. This may be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which creates a cool mist. When the component cools, it shrinks a little for ease of extraction from the mold. This is yet another step that depends a lot on the ideal timing, since quick cooling decreases the material too quickly, causing bending of the item.

4. The un-loading or de-molding phase.
As soon as the material within te mould has cooled adequately, the molder taking care of the operation can then take out the finalized product from the mould. The function is repeated from the start, making a series of exact products.
