2. The heating and fusion phase.

One thing that is crucial at this moment is the period of time the mould will spend inside the oven. If it overstays, the component will lose stability and durability, creating a weak product. If it is extracted from the oven too early, the polymer will not have liquefied correctly, which creates bubbles in the finished product.

3. Mold cooling down.
When the component has completely spent the enough of time in the oven, it is then removed for cooling. This can be done by air or water, or sometimes a mixture of both which generates a cool mist. When the component cools, it shrinks slightly for ease of extraction from the mold. This is yet another procedure that relies a lot on the ideal timing, since rapid cooling shrinks the material too quickly, causing bending of the product.

4. The un-loading or de-moulding step.
As soon as the product inside te mold has cooled properly, the person taking care of the procedure can then remove the completed item from the mold. The technique is repeated from the start, providing a series of identical products.
